SSADL Proudly Supports the Rescue Equine Showing Society (RESS)

Welcomes Cathy Hyde as Welfare Officer & Advisor As a leading force in the equestrian community, SSADL (Senior Showing & Dressage Ltd.) is committed to championing the welfare and longevity of equines, particularly those who require a second chance at life.

It is with great pride that we continue our collaboration with the Rescue Equine Showing Society (RESS)—a visionary organization dedicated to promoting, supporting, and celebrating the journey of rescue horses and ponies in the showing world.

Founded by Chairwoman Cathy Hyde, RESS was created with a singular mission: to provide rescue equines with a prestigious platform to showcase their potential in the competitive arena. Now firmly established as an official showing society, RESS continues to make a profound impact, ensuring that rescued and rehomed horses have the opportunity to shine in the world of equestrian sport.

SSADL has always placed equine welfare at the very heart of its values, making this partnership a natural alignment. As part of our continued commitment to equine advocacy, we are delighted to announce that Cathy Hyde serves as our official Welfare Officer & Advisor, bringing her extensive expertise and dedication to the welfare, rehabilitation, and rehoming of rescue equines.

RESS has meticulously assembled a distinguished committee of experts, all of whom share a passion for rescue equines, responsible rehoming, and the ethical progression of these horses within the showing sphere. With a comprehensive range of competition classes now in place and a dedicated showing calendar, RESS is rapidly establishing itself as a pioneering force in equine showing, ensuring that every horse—regardless of its past—has the chance to succeed.

At SSADL, we believe that every horse deserves the opportunity to shine, and we are immensely proud to stand alongside RESS in their mission to create a brighter future for rescue equines. Their work is not only a testament to resilience, rehabilitation, and rehoming but also an inspiring reminder that a horse’s past should never define its future.

As the equestrian world evolves, so too must our approach to welfare-conscious showing. Together, SSADL and RESS are committed to setting new industry standards, raising awareness, and ensuring that no horse is left behind. For more details, please visit The Rescue Equine Showing Society website.
