Blue Chip Feed Expands Sponsorship with SSADL for 2026 Championships

Senior Showing and Dressage Ltd (SSADL) is delighted to announce an expanded sponsorship partnership with Blue Chip Feed for the 2026 Championship Show at Onley Grounds, Rugby.
Following a successful collaboration, Blue Chip Feed has strengthened its commitment to SSADL members by extending its valued support across:
 
  • Blue Chip Open Dressage Championships
  • Blue Chip Senior Pony/Horse Championships
  • Blue Chip Senior Rider Championships
 
This enhanced partnership reflects Blue Chip Feed’s continued dedication to supporting senior equestrians and promoting the health, performance and longevity of horses and ponies competing within the SSADL series.

Introducing the NEW Blue Chip Supreme Champion Award

For 2026, SSADL is proud to introduce an exciting new addition to the championship structure:
 
 The Blue Chip Supreme Champion Award
 
Champions from each Senior Pony/Horse Championship class at the SSADL National Championship Show will qualify for the opportunity to compete for the prestigious Overall Supreme Champion title at the SSADL Ball & Awards Evening.
This new Supreme Champion pathway adds an elevated level of prestige and recognition, celebrating outstanding partnerships on a national stage and creating a powerful championship progression for senior competitors.

A Partnership Built on Shared Values

SSADL continues to grow nationally, providing competitive and celebratory opportunities for:
  • Riders aged 45 years and over
  • Horses and ponies aged 15 years and over
  • Open dressage combinations (horses aged 4 years and over)
Blue Chip Feed’s expanded sponsorship strengthens the championship structure while enhancing the competitive experience for members across the UK.

This Dressage series is for all home produced horses’/ponies, who compete who are interested in dressage. The SSADL National Dressage Event is held at:

Onley Equestrian Complex,

Rugby, Warwickshire 20th September 2026

SSADL NATIONAL DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

No Qualification or registration  required for some sectors :

Section A) Open Aged Dressage test- For Pony/horse 4 years of age & over- Riders any age  .

Classes:  Preliminary, Novice, Elementary. 

Section B)  Home Produced SSADL Senior Pony/Horse 15 years of age and over.

The below classes will be divided into three age groups.

Pre – Senior 15 to 18 years, Senior 19 to 23 years, Senior Plus 24 years and over.

Classes:  Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium. 

Qualification  via SSADL Dressage Qualifiers or Compete at any Dressage event.

To compete:  In the SSADL  Home Produced Senior Pony/Horse  National Dressage Championships you need to:

  1. Gain a result of 60% or more on your senior pony/horse – 15 years of age & over at any event throughout the United Kingdom.
  2. Send a copy of said  dressage test along with the  National Dressage Championships  Entry Form by post to: SSADL Head Office, Mr. T Frost Suncrest 119 High Lane, Brown Edge Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST68RT.

 3.    Please state the event and date of show, name of rider and pony/horse and age of equine. 

4.  Only the same pony/horse/rider combination are eligible to compete in the SSADL  Senior Pony/Horse National Dressage Championships.

5.          A Senior pony/horse can compete with a 2nd rider.                    

6.   If you wish to enter more than one qualifying class, you can only qualify for the next class up. For example: PRELIM and NOVICE – NOVICE and ELEMENTARY,  ELEMENTARY and MEDIUM (with the same rider combination)

7.        Please not that Non-Members of SSADL 2026 will pay an increased entry Fee- See on Entry Form

PLEASE NOTE: All entries should also be accompanied with a photo copy of your  animals latest vaccination page.

Section C) Senior Riders Home Produced Dressage.  Riders 50 years of age & over. For Pony/Horse 4 years of age and over 

No Qualification Required 

For Pony/horse 4 years of age & over.

For non-profession dressage riders.

This section to be divided in to 2 Rider Age groups

  1. A) Riders 50 – 57 years of age.
  2. B) Riders 58 years of age & over

Classes: Preliminary , Novice, Elementary
